Job summary

Pathways In Education is seeking Substitute Teachers to cover Glendale campus, with flexibility to travel to Phoenix and Mesa as needed. Shifts are as needed, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday, paying $23.00–$24.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach and delegate responsibility to students.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, coworkers, and business contacts.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and database management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare focused interventions for student’s academic success.
• Instruct students in multiple subjects using various teaching methods and materials.
• Prepare outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers to seek alternative interventions to motivate students.
• Assist pupils in selecting courses of study.
• Counsel students in adjustment and academic problems.
• Collaborate with parents, students, and teachers to improve attendance.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss progress and problems.
• Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress and record results.
• Maintain attendance records, student files, and transcripts.
