Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to teach and delegate responsibility to students.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
• Ability to synergize with field and corporate staff to implement the educational program
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills
• Effective verbal and written communication with students, parents, co-workers, and business contacts
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and database management
• BA/BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Some teaching or tutoring experience preferred
• Arizona Substitute, PreK-12 preferred
• Ability to travel between Phoenix and Mesa campuses as needed for applicable coverage
• Availability to work as needed, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities

• Prepare focused interventions for students’ academic success
• Instruct students in multiple subjects using varied teaching methods, audiovisual aids, and other materials
• Prepare course-of-study outlines according to curriculum guidelines and state or school requirements
• Collaborate with teachers on alternative interventions to motivate students and prevent dropouts
• Assist students in selecting courses of study
• Counsel students regarding adjustment and academic problems
• Collaborate with parents, students, and teachers to improve attendance
• Participate in community groups or functions, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, truancy court, and teacher training workshops
• Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and problems
• Participate in student organizations and committees
• Administer tests, evaluate pupil progress, assess student work, and record results
• Maintain attendance records, student files, and transcripts
• Assist with state-mandated student testing
• Maintain files for random, bi-monthly, and year-end audits
• Help maintain a clean, inviting, professional student center
• Perform assigned administrative functions and duties
• Maintain a partial or full summer/winter student load during short-term enrollment periods
• Provide substitute coverage at the Glendale campus, with flexibility to go to Phoenix as needed
• Provide coverage at both Phoenix and Mesa campuses as needed
