Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking interpreters to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations in North Carolina.

Fluency in ASL and spoken English, accurate interpreting skills, and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct are required. Part-time/flex interpreters may enjoy a flexible schedule and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Provide accurate interpretation.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or state-required credentials if applicable.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Exhibit professional behavior at all times including punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interaction with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keeping.

• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to independently travel. Where driving is required, access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and required insurance.
