Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at the Alaska Airlines Lounge in PDX. The role supports kitchen and facility operations by keeping areas clean, sanitized, and organized within food production and service zones.

Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, stocking supplies, and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, no prior experience, and knowledge of sanitation basics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work on time; other duties as assigned.
