Job summary

The Equipment Operator at Cemex US in Blum, TX will safely operate heavy mobile equipment including front end loaders, backhoe, skid steer, and haul trucks. You will perform daily inspections, follow safety procedures, and work with maintenance teams to keep equipment ready.

You must have at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends. OSHA rules and Cemex safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in operating heavy equipment.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in position or related field.
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles daily or pre-shift and operate safely.
• Operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul truck, etc.).
• Perform clean-up to keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, orderly and safe.
• Comply with company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Be multi-diversified in performing related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed.
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts.
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations.
