Job summary

Windward Tavern is seeking a guest-focused Wait Staff member to join our Jersey Shore team. Be part of a fast-paced dining team that delivers great food, warm hospitality, and excellent service.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, delivering meals, and maintaining knowledge of the menu and allergens. Prior hospitality experience and a positive, guest-first attitude are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Team player with a guest-first attitude.
• Cash handling and basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and allergen information.
• Check in with guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Process payments, handle cash, and operate POS systems accurately.
• Keep dining areas clean, organized, and properly set between seatings.
