Job summary
BrightStar Care of Acton, Andover & Lowell is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support clients in Everett, Malden, Revere, Somerville, Boston, Cambridge and surrounding communities. You will implement treatment plans under supervision and help patients improve strength and mobility to live independently at home.
Requirements include an associate degree from an accredited PTA program, current MA PTA license, CPR/BLS certification, reliable transportation, and about one year of
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current, valid Massachusetts license to practice as a PTA
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises and mobility techniques to improve strength, coordination, and independence.
- Observe, document, and report patient progress or changes to the supervising therapist and physician.
- Educate patients and their families on safe mobility practices and use of assistive equipment.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with BrightStar Care standards.
