Job summary

ALSTAR EMS is seeking a Casual Paramedic for our Dunkirk facility to provide ALS patient care in a fast-paced EMS environment. You will operate EMS vehicles, respond to calls, perform ACLS-level treatments, and ensure readiness of equipment and supplies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered service, and adherence to state protocols and billing documentation. Flexible scheduling and access to up-to-date equipment and fleet are offered to support you in delivering high-quality care

Attention to safety and equipment readiness

Responsibilities

Check vehicle per Part 800 standards beginning each shift.
Operate assigned vehicle safely during driving, parking, and emergency mode.
Safely transport wheel-stretcher bound patients as necessary.
Complete billing forms and PCRs in a timely fashion.
Responds to assigned calls in a timely fashion.
Ensure cleanliness of quarters, vehicle, and patient equipment.
Provide treatment at ACLS level according to state protocol.
Assure restocking of basic supplies and equipment.
Function at scenes appropriately as a member of a team.
Use proper radio etiquette and procedures.
Function in charge of patient care for those requiring ALS.
Proactively identify opportunities for service improvement and implement accordingly.
Deliver quality customer service to internal and external customers.
