Job summary

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician for our Behavioral Health unit in Jasper, Indiana. The role supports nursing staff with patient care activities in the evening to night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a rotating weekend/holiday plan.

Responsibilities include performing routine duties, interacting with patients professionally, and applying knowledge of developmental needs of the behavioral health population.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a health care facility/psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist as directed by nursing staff or professionals by performing supportive tasks in patient care under supervision.
• Interact with patients in a supportive and professional manner.
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmental needs of patients in Behavioral Health Services.
