Job summary

Northeastern Center Inc. in Auburn, IN is seeking a full-time technician to support nursing and clinical teams in direct patient care. Under RN direction, you will help with observation, therapeutic interaction and documentation to promote quality consumer care.

Qualifications include a high school education or equivalent, and experience in the mental health field is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Evening shift runs 7pm–7am, Monday–Friday, with every other weekend 2–12 hour shifts.

A technician, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, shall be responsible for assisting the professional nursing, medical and ancillary staff with activities of direct patient care. Upholds Northeastern Center's standards in maintaining quality consumer care. With the direction of nursing staff, works within the framework of a multidisciplinary team approach. Maintains a safe, clean environment, observes patient behavior, initiates therapeutic interaction and documents pertinent information. Provides supportive services to promote optimal patient care.

Education: High School education or equivalent

Experience: Experience in the mental health field preferred.

Licenses: Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Evening Shift - 3 -12 hours shifts M-F, 7p - 7a, and every other weekend 2-12hours shifts hour bi-weekly.
