Job summary

Hickory Recovery in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to join the Behavioral Health team. You will serve as a bridge between clients and clinical staff, helping implement individualized treatment plans.

Under supervision, you’ll monitor client activities, support group sessions, and maintain safety and confidentiality per HIPAA. A flexible schedule—including holidays and weekends—is required, with opportunities to contribute to a compassionate, structured care environment.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and communicate effectively by phone and in person.
• Positive demeanor and professional boundaries with clients.
• Follow directives, adhere to policies, and manage time efficiently.
• Scheduling flexibility including holidays and weekends is required.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with clients to support implementation of treatment plans.
• Maintain ethical boundaries with clients and families.
• Ensure attendance at individual and group sessions and follow schedules.
• Assist and monitor client activities and compliance with rules.
• Support clients with phone use, computer time, and breaks.
• Gathers clients for group programming.
• Document interactions accurately using the EMR system.
• Record notes, safety rounds, and inventory of client belongings.
