Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio to join our warehouse team. You will perform forklift operations, material handling, and related duties, with a schedule that offers 44-55 hours per week and a 4:30am-4:00pm or 5:30am-5:00pm shift option.

Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits start after 30 days. Base pay starts at $23.00 per hour with a $0.50 raise after 6 months and after a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to be a team player in a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
