Job summary

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a friendly bartender for flexible, part-time shifts at events across the Richmond area. You will mix drinks, handle payments, and assist with setup and teardown of bars.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of bartending in catering/banquet settings, strong customer service, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a can-do attitude. Earn $20 per hour plus occasional tips with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bartending experience (catering/banquet preferred).
• Effective verbal communication with guests and team members.
• Physical position: must be able to bend, twist, lift 50 pounds and stand long hours.
• Able to follow directions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review the event worksheet before arriving; know the timeline, bar type, food, and details.
• Check in with Event Captain/Co-Captain on arrival and departure.
• Assist with unloading the vehicle and setting up the bar area and glassware.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; answer questions on ingredients and make recommendations.
• Verify guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age.
• Process payments for a cash bar (cash or credit) via Square app.
• Clean up the bar area and return rentals to their place after the event.
• Assist with breakdown and ensure no debris remains and equipment is stored properly.
