Job summary

Shaner Hotels in Dublin, OH is seeking a Food & Beverage team member to take orders and serve beverages and light meals, ensuring courteous, efficient service and adherence to hotel specifications.

The role requires flexibility, safety and cost awareness, and strong communication with management and guests; prior F&B experience preferred; bilingual skills a plus; ServSafe/TIPS training welcomed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Restaurant/Food & Beverage.
• Must be 21+ in Ohio to serve alcohol.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Clear communication with guests, management, and co-workers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training is a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Ability to compute basic math.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Maintains and abides by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
• Responsible for responding and handling guest related issues pertaining to the department.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
