Job summary

Sarasota Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, FL seeks a Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service at events and banquets. You will set up tables, retrieve and serve beverages and food according to specifications, and keep work areas clean.

The role requires flexibility, weekend/holiday shifts, and knowledge of safety standards; previous banquet/hospitality experience and ServSafe certification are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

Prior banquet operations or hospitality experience preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly with guests, management, and co-workers.
High school diploma required; some college preferred.
Minimum age to serve alcoholic beverages.
ServSafe and/or food safety training.
Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up assigned tables, retrieve and serve beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications and group requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment.
Greet guests and assist with seating at tables.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
