Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements depend on laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license if operating a company or customer vehicle.
• Background check required by law; criminal histories considered lawfully.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior security experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliable with adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment and communicate clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attentive and deliberate.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills; assess situations quickly.
• Mediate conflicts with tact; strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for unusual conditions and safety hazards.
• Respond to alarms; notify police or fire department as needed.
• Warn rule infractions and control access to property.
• Escort authorized personnel and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departure activities to prevent theft; ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports.
• Aide customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications per site orders.
