Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an entry-level Security Flex Officer in Michigan. This role includes paid training, flexible shifts, and weekend work. You’ll participate in patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents across diverse client sites, gaining hands-on experience and growth opportunities.

The position may require irregular shifts with little advance notice. Prior security experience is not required, and drivers with a valid license are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Must be 18+ (21 if armed in certain states).
• Be reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions and security hazards.
• Sound alarms or notify police/fire in emergencies.
• Control access and monitor entrances/exits.
• Record observations and prepare incident reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
