Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in Benton Harbor, MI. The role uses our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, enabling a flexible schedule across healthcare, education, finance, and more.

You may be called upon to work irregular shifts with little notice, gaining varied site experience. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 (21 if armed where required).
• Valid driver's license if operating company/customer vehicles.
• Ability to operate radio/console monitors.
• Proven ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department in case of emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal as required.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
