Job summary

Educational Service Center of Central Ohio is seeking a Substitute Bus/Trip Driver to transport students safely on scheduled routes and field trips. You may work as little or as much as you like and will receive training.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid CDL, and be able to pass pre-trip inspections and required safety screens. Responsibilities include supervising students on the bus, adhering to all transportation laws and district policies, and reporting incidents

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must hold a current commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Able to pass a daily pre-trip inspection and wear a seat belt.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and safety testing.
• Understand and follow Ohio school transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient transportation of students.
• Directly supervise students on bus at all times.
• Maintain discipline according to bus rules and handbook.
• Complete route timing sheets and time sheets as required.
• Report accidents, delays, and maintenance needs to supervisor.
