Qualifications

• Must meet health requirements.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must posses a valid Ohio driver's license.
• Must have or be able to obtain a P, and S endorsement and a CDL.
• Must have or must attend School Bus Driver Certification Classes.
• Meet local or state standards for driver record check.
• Must meet State Requirements of a Bus Driver.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspection of the school bus before each trip and route.
• Follow established routes and designated bus stops.
• Operate bus on approved schedule and adhere to time plans.
• Obey traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain discipline on the bus and ensure passenger safety.
• Report accidents and injuries to authorities and complete reports.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required by policy.
• Instruct riders on responsible bus conduct and safety.
• Notify authorities of undisciplined students when needed.
