Job summary

Target is hiring for a Security Specialist to help protect guests and team members while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You will greet guests, assist with needs, and uphold security standards across the store.

The role requires a flexible schedule, ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and strong teamwork. Training will be provided to develop surveillance and incident response skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide an easy, inspiring guest experience while greeting and assisting guests.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe, secure standards store-wide.
• Respond to security incidents and document them accurately in the case management system.
• Use de-escalation techniques to resolve issues and prevent escalations.
• Assist with theft prevention, merchandise checks, and trend reporting.
