Job summary

Comprehensive Home Health Solutions is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home PT services across Northern Nevada, including Reno, Sparks, and surrounding areas. You will implement therapy plans, guide home exercise programs, and help patients regain strength and mobility in their own homes.

The role requires a CAPTE-approved PTA education, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of PTA experience (home health preferred).

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Graduate of CAPTE-approved PTA program.
• Minimum 2 years of PTA experience (home health preferred).
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing 150+ lbs.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized physical therapy care plans under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercise programs to improve strength, ROM, and mobility.
• Assist patients in gait training using walkers or other mobility aids.
• Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, thermotherapy, and massage.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report significant changes to the PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs to encourage progress.
• Maintain sterile procedures and ensure therapy equipment is cleaned and maintained.
• Participate in QA and in-service training to stay current with best practices.
