Job summary

ChristianaCare Hospitals in Aston and West Grove is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant for PRN day shifts (7am-7pm) in a small-format hospital. Under RN supervision, you will support the nursing process with indirect and direct care, handle routine clerical tasks and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, feeding, transporting patients, and ensuring room and equipment are clean and ready.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Two years of work in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant, or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed or obtainable before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform vital signs, glucose checks, EKGs, and monitor intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, mobility, transport, and routines.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and document care and data entry.
• Serve as Unit Clerk as assigned.
