Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver functional rehabilitation in home and community settings. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients across real-life activities such as cooking, shopping, dining, and work tasks.

The role emphasizes autonomous work within a collaborative therapy team, with growth opportunities and reimbursement for travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR Certification in accordance with state regulations.
• At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move/transfer patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members.
• Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.
