Job summary

Harris Health System seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other infrastructure systems within our facilities in Houston.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex maintenance issues, following safety protocols, and coordinating with the Facilities Engineering Department to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (job-related instruction). All candidates must be able to pass the skill assessment for this level or above established by the Facilities Engineering Department.
• Journeyman level License or equivalent certification, or 1st Grade Stationary Engineering - City of Houston, or trade/craft specific licensure or certification.
• Valid Texas Driver's License preferred.
• Work Experience: Four years building maintenance experience preferred, including demonstrating ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to include, but not limited to, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and other misc. infrastructure systems.
