Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Coffee Specialist to be the in-store expert and advocate for all things coffee. You will share product knowledge, brewing techniques, and personalized recommendations to drive sales of espresso machines, grinders, and accessories through demonstrations and classes.

You will educate customers on multiple brewing methods, help select beans, and deliver engaging classes that enhance the customer experience and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Passion for coffee and in-depth knowledge of brewing methods, coffee origins and equipment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Lead engaging and informative coffee brewing demonstrations that showcase our expertise and offerings.
• Educate customers on a variety of brewing techniques, including pour-over, French Press, AeroPress, espresso, cold brew, and coffee art.
• Guide customers in selecting coffee beans based on flavor profiles, roast levels, and origin.
• Promote and sell coffee products, equipment, and accessories to customers.
• Assist the store in achieving revenue goals by driving engagement and conversion through education.
• Deliver classes that drive customer engagement and sales, with KPIs like sign-ups and reviews.
