Brookwood Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer (PRN) to join our team in Alabama. This role provides injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and patient education while coordinating with healthcare professionals to support patient wellness.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The position offers flexibility with varying schedules, including event support, to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s or Bachelor’s in Athletic Training with 3+ years of experience
• Preferred certifications include NASM-CES, NASM-PES, ISFTA-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, FMS, SFMA
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries according to professional standards of practice
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families on treatment plans and injury prevention
• Independently make decisions that positively impact patient health and quality of life
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with billing procedures when applicable
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach events
• Assist with special events and injury prevention education programs outside of the clinic setting as needed
• Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and strong communication skills
• Support patient care under supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist or Medical Doctor when applicable
• Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including varying shifts and occasional event support
