ALL BENEFITS START DAY ONE
- Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries according to professional standards of practice
- Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families on treatment plans and injury prevention
- Independently make decisions that positively impact patient health and quality of life
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with billing procedures when applicable
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach events
- Assist with special events and injury prevention education programs outside of the clinic setting as needed
- Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude in all interactions
- Support patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist or Medical Doctor when applicable
- Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including varying shifts and occasional event support
- Master’s degree in a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Preferred certifications include one or more of the following:
- NASM-CES
- NASM-PES
- ISFTA-CPT
- NSCA-CSCS
- FMS
- SFMA
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- New graduates are welcome, mentoring will be provided.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC)
- Current Athletic Trainer license in the State of Alabama
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification
- Valid Alabama driver’s license and insurable driving record preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
