Job summary

We are seeking Sales Associate Flex for the United States Naval Academy Business Services Division in Annapolis, MD. This on-call role supports the Midshipmen Store and Gift Shop with customer service, cash handling, and inventory tasks across NABSD retail operations.

The position requires basic qualifications, weekend availability, and a commitment to professional conduct and security clearances as applicable to federal employment.

Qualifications

• Front-facing customer service experience; retail setting preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cash registers or POS systems; retail experience preferred.
• Experience performing inventory duties, restocking, counts, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide professional appearance and helpful service to achieve daily sales goals.
• Operate POS terminals, verify prices, process sales/returns, secure payment information, and provide receipts.
• Stock and maintain the sales floor and visual displays; assist with pricing and seasonal transitions.
• Assist in inventory processes, replenishment, and spot inventories; support other NABSD retail operations as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new sales clerks and uphold safety and health standards.
