Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Float unit on rotating shifts. The RN will deliver evidence-based patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring a patient visit experience that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing, PA licensure (or compact), BLS, and ACLS; BSN is highly preferred. Flexible schedules and supportive work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania or Compact State License.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS required or obtained by orientation if applicable to area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Communicate with patient/family about planned care and expected outcomes.
• Utilizes multidisciplinary approach to deliver patient care.
