Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a Float Pool RN to deliver compassionate care across Med Surg/Tele units. This full-time role involves coverage of designated patient populations with emphasis on nursing process, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of acute care nursing, PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC, and possession of CPR and ACLS certifications. AED compliance and background clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience in Med Surg/Tele.
• Current PA RN license or eNLC multi-state licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification to be required by department.
• Criminal background checks (Act 34/33/73) required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning based on nursing process.
• Delivers safe and effective care for adults and aging population per regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages patient care activities of the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
