Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Allen in Allen, Texas, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit. You will apply the nursing process to plan and coordinate care, discharge planning, and family teaching for post-hospitalization.

The position requires RN licensure in the state (or compact), BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and ACLS for Charge Nurses. Inpatient experience is preferred; we offer growth opportunities and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and accessing community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse duties.
