Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide network of independent contractors and seeks experienced Retail Merchandisers. This role offers flexible, project-based work servicing major retailers and brands, with service windows rather than fixed schedules.

Assignments typically range from 12-20 hours per month, including merchandising, resets, audits, and stock displays. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, can travel between locations, and report progress via mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail, resets, auditing, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed.
• Submit project completion reports and photos on the same day services are performed.
