Job summary

Summit Spine and Joint Centers is expanding its PRN Surgical First Assistant program across GA, NC, and SC. You will support surgeons in ASC and OR environments, assist with procedures, maintain patient safety, and help ensure efficient operations in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of surgical first assistant experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel between multiple Georgia locations, with a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Surgical First Assistant experience preferred.
• Associate degree in allied health or health-related science preferred or higher.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical First Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team intraoperatively.
• Position patients and prep operating room for procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff.
• Support post-procedure patient care and transfers.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
