Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) seeks a Surgical First Assistant (PRN) to support multiple Ambulatory Surgery Center locations across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The role involves intraoperative assistance, patient positioning, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of SFA experience or completion of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program, with strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Surgical First Assistant experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program preferred.
• Associate degree or Bachelor’s in health-related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with intraoperative procedures, including exposure, instrumentation, hemostasis, and closure.
• Position patients and ensure safety per surgeon preferences.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff.
• Support ASC locations across GA and neighboring states as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and organizational policies.
