The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center is seeking a reliable On-Call / PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to support our nursing team. The role offers a flexible schedule with no set shifts and the opportunity to provide compassionate, resident-centered care across shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted California RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect resident information.
• Ability to meet applicable physical and job-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care.
• Assess residents and respond to changes in condition.
• Notify physicians of significant changes as appropriate.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Perform vital signs, assessments, IV starts, and specimen collection.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, and quality of life.
• Provide guidance to nursing staff and collaborate with teams.
• Follow infection prevention and HIPAA compliance.
