Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Rocky Mount, VA seeks a Respiratory Therapist - CFMH (Flex/PRN) to provide comprehensive respiratory care in general and ICU settings. ACLS and BLS are required, with ongoing education and competency validation emphasized.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II will assess and treat patients of all ages, document interventions, collaborate with the care team, and strive to improve outcomes while managing resources efficiently.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapy degree from a CoARC accredited program is required.
• NBRC RRT credential required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Virginia required; NBRC credential needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced respiratory care procedures in general and intensive care areas.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all ages.
• Document treatments and monitor patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families and participate in performance improvement.
