Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at the Tanglewood Nursing & Rehabilitation facility in Topeka, Kansas. The selected candidate will treat residents and short-term patients, comply with physician orders, and contribute to the planned therapy program.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, performing skilled treatments, documenting progress, and ensuring timely billing and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold Kansas license/certification for PTA.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall plan of care including treatment and goals to support discharge planning.
• Performs skilled treatments according to plan of care.
• Documents observations and patient responses within required timeframes.
• Completes all required documentation timely in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area with infection prevention methods.
