Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation in Abilene, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist/OTR to treat residents and short-term patients at our Silver Spring facility in Abilene. Weekdays and weekends availability.

Responsibilities include providing therapy per physician orders, developing plans of care, documenting progress, and maintaining equipment. Requirements include a Texas OT license, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within multi-faceted systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for OT.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organization.
• Demonstrates independent clinical judgment and problem-solving.
• Meets physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process / background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician's orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall plan of care with treatment and frequency to support discharge planning.
• Performs skilled treatments according to established plan of care.
• Documents observations and patient responses within required timeframes.
• Completes all documentation timely and in accordance with regulations.
• Completes all billing on the date of service in accordance with regulations.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area with infection prevention practices.
