Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation in Abilene, Texas is seeking PRN Occupational Therapists to treat residents and short-term patients at our Silver Spring facility in Abilene, Texas.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy per orders, developing a plan of care with measurable goals, and documenting patient progress. Requirements include Texas OT licensure, strong communication, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary setting. Prior geriatric rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for Occupational Therapy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates independent clinical judgment and problem-solving.
• Able to meet physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process/background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services per physician orders and professional guidelines.
• Develops a plan of care with treatment, duration, frequency, and measurable goals.
• Performs skilled treatments as part of the plan of care across disciplines.
• Documents observations and patient progress within required timeframes.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner per state and federal regulations.
• Performs required billing for services according to regulations.
• Maintains rehab gym and treatment area with infection prevention practices.
