Big Spring Center for Skilled Care in Texas is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. You will focus on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with the rehab team, and document thoroughly in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Texas OT license required and in good standing with regulatory boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.

Responsabilités

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life
• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize performance in ADLs and IADLs
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications based on needs and capabilities
• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety
• Ensure treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide clinical education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
