Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN hospice aide to provide compassionate in-home care to patients in their homes across Tennessee. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, and daily living activities, while observing and reporting patient status to the nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during activities of daily living and housekeeping tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding as needed.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions prepared by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
