Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state of practice.
• Commitment to continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention or treatment.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in identifying target goals and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group treatment as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Assist in selecting and adapting therapy techniques and modalities as indicated.
• Monitor residents' response and communicate modifications to the Physical Therapist.
• Coordinate resident schedules with the team and adhere to treatment regimens.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on equipment use and safety.
• Contribute to documentation in CMS-compliant EMR systems.
