Job summary

The role involves working rotating shifts such as 4am-12:30pm, 10am-6:30pm, 12pm-8:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm and 10pm-6:30am. No on-call or travel is required, and the position will include every other weekend and holidays.

The phlebotomist will collect specimens, follow patient identification procedures, and perform related clerical tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy proficiency is required.
• Experience with specimen collection via venipuncture is essential.
• Ability to interact with patients and laboratory staff professionally.

Responsibilities

• Interact with laboratory customers courteously and respond to inquiries.
• Procure blood specimens by venipuncture, heel stick, or fingerstick; educate patients on collection procedures.
• Train new employees or students as assigned and ensure accurate data entry of demographics and test orders.
