Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a flexible Phlebotomy Technician to support the Oshkosh Westhaven Clinic and Fond du Lac Clinic as needed. The position involves venipuncture, specimen processing, data entry, and QA tasks within CLIA guidelines.

This float role requires strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced setting. The schedule features four 8-hour shifts weekly (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), with occasional weekend coverage every fourth Saturday (8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification and assesses reactions to specimen procurement.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens per protocol for newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Ensures proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens; supports billing and business functions.
• Performs testing under CLIA guidelines and maintains QA procedures.
• Instructs employees and students in phlebotomy, data entry and specimen processing functions.
