Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to cover float assignments across Franklin, Racine, and Kenosha. You will verify patient identity, collect specimens from newborn to adult patients, label samples accurately and perform limited CLIA testing under established protocols.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong computer skills, and excellent communication. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, provide great customer service, and support

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or training preferred.
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and ensure specimen safety.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from all ages.
• Label specimens correctly and resolve identification issues.
• Perform limited CLIA-compliant testing per policy.
• Answer calls, assist with inventory and billing support.
• Process and transport specimens; update tests requests.
• Enter lab results into the computer system.
• Provide instruction to staff in phlebotomy and processing.
• Demonstrate care appropriate to patient age.
