Job summary

WSFSSH is seeking a Per Diem, internal temp MSS Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide hands-on ADL support for older adults in a nonprofit housing setting. This onsite, as-needed role aids residents with daily living activities while maintaining dignity and safety.

Priorities include clear communication and reliable, compassionate service delivery. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, eating, observing changes, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Provide respectful, hands-on personal care with dignity for residents.
• Follow transfer techniques, body mechanics and infection control basics.
• Observe, document and report condition changes clearly and promptly.
• Remain compassionate, reliable and calm in emergencies and busy settings.
• Follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic English for care documentation; bilingual skills a plus as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Support eating according to dietary orders and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and report changes in condition; note skin, mobility, mood, pain.
• Follow infection control practices and PPE as required.
• Maintain a safe environment and report hazards to supervision.
• Document care notes, task checklists and service logs timely.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
