Job summary

Amedisys Hospice Aide in Rhode Island is a PRN per diem CNA role with a flexible schedule, offering weekday and/or weekend availability to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with mobility and daily activities, preparing meals, performing light homemaking, observing and reporting changes, following the nurse’s plan of care, and supporting families while ensuring safety and comfort for patients at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status.
• Follows written instructions for personal care from the nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed.
• Performs and records simple urine tests and other tasks as assigned.
