Job summary

OneWell Health Care seeks a dedicated Per Diem ASL Interpreter/Education Specialist in Pottsville, PA. The role provides professional ASL interpreting services and individualized educational support to individuals through PA's ODP, ensuring equal access to communication and promoting educational achievement, employment readiness, and community participation.

This field-based, per diem position requires scheduling flexibility, travel across Pennsylvania, and compliance with HIPAA and agency

Qualifications

• Current state teaching credential or certification in ASL, Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field, per state requirements.
• ASLTA certification at the level required by program standards.
• Registration with PA ODHH interpreter registry or applicable state body.
• Maintain all licenses, certifications and continuing education in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and culturally appropriate ASL interpreting and individualized ODP education support.
• Assist participants in educational, vocational and independent living goals; promote self-advocacy and inclusion.
• Collaborate with participants, families, educators, employers, Supports Coordinators and interdisciplinary teams; ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation and participate in required meetings and training.
