Job summary

OneWell Health Care in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Per Diem ASL Interpreter/Education Specialist to provide professional American Sign Language interpreting and individualized educational support to individuals served by Pennsylvania's Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).

This field-based role requires independent scheduling, travel across Pennsylvania, and the ability to collaborate with participants, families, educators, and Supports Coordinators while upholding confidentiality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must hold current state credential or certification in ASL/related field.
• Experience with educational interpreting and Deaf culture.
• Ability to travel across Pennsylvania and work in multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL interpreting and individualized ODP Education Support in educational, vocational, medical, home, community, and virtual settings.
• Support participants in achieving educational, vocational, and independent living goals; promote self-advocacy and community inclusion.
• Collaborate with participants, families, educators, employers, Supports Coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams; maintain confidentiality and compliance; complete timely documentation; participate in meetings and training.
